This fabulous trip to Colima combines the spectacular horse parade with a great cultural experience! On day one of this trip you will get a general feel for Colima and it’s interesting history, on a city tour with our expert local guide. In the evening you will have free time to explore.
The second day of this trip takes you to the Magic Town of Comala, including the Nogueras Museum and Botanical Gardens, as well as a local coffee plantation. Another highlight of this trip is a visit to meet one of Colima’s most famous artisans, Don Herminio Candelario, who creates traditional carved wooden masks.
In the evening of day 2 we will be dining on the plaza with great views of the Colima Horse Show! From the restaurant of the Hotel Ceballos you will witness this traditional celebration of Mexican horsemanship joined by local musicians in this amazing parade. Don’t forget your camera!
The final day of this trip will not dissapoint, beginning with a visit to the Colima Folk Art Museum, displaying folk art and handicrafts from many different regions of Mexico. A favourite with most is our visit to a local beer brewery, including sampling of local micro-brew beers!
