Mexico City

Day 1: Travel to Mexico City
Transfer to airport – times to be confirmed upon booking flights. Transfer to hotel followed by time for lunch (depending on arrival time), and orientation in the historic centre of Mexico City.
Accommodation: Historic centre of Mexico City.

Day 2: Historic City Centre
8 am: Breakfast in hotel followed by walking tour, including explanation of the main buildings in the Zócalo, entry to the Templo Mayor and Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts).
Free time in the afternoon for a city tour on the ‘Turibus’ (approx. $150 pesos), a visit to the Latin American Tower or other highlights in the city centre.
Evening free: recommendations on places for dining will be given.
Accommodation: Historic centre of Mexico City.

Day 3: South of the City Centre
8 am: Breakfast in hotel followed by departure for Coyoacan (approximately 1 hour), to visit this beautiful district of Mexico City, including the town plaza, market, and Frida Kahlo Museum (Casa Azul). Free time for lunch in Coyoacan.
2 pm: Transfer to Xochimilco for a ride in traditional trajinera boats along this unique canal system of floating islands and learn how the indigenous Mexica people created a sustainable agricultural system to ensure a reliable food source. Evening return to historic centre for free time.
Accommodation: Historic centre of Mexico City. 

Day 4: Chapultepec
8 am: Breakfast in the hotel followed by departure to Chapultepec to visit the National Museum of Anthropology, and Chapultepec Castle (Museum of History) (free time for lunch in Anthropology museum before transferring to Chapultepec Castle).
Afternoon return to city centre for free time in evening
Accommodation: Historic centre of Mexico City.

Day 5: Teotihuacan
7.30 am: Breakfast in hotel, followed by 8.30 am departure to one of Mexico’s most well known archaeological sites, Teotihuacan (1 -2 hours travel, depending upon traffic). Guided tour, including explanations of the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Afternoon return to city centre for evening meal and free time.
Accommodation: Historic centre of Mexico City.

Day 6: Return travel
8 am: Breakfast in hotel and free time in Mexico City. Transfer to airport – times to be confirmed upon booking flights.
