Guanajuato & San Miguel de Allende

Day 1: Travel to Guanajuato and City Centre Tour
6 am: Departure to Guanajuato (7 – 8 1/2 hours, depending on departure location). Afternoon city centre tour on foot, exploring all the highlights of this spectacular city (this tour lasts approximately 2 hours), followed by free time for dining.
Accommodation: Guanajuato

Day 2: Panoramic viewpoint, Silver mine and Mummy Museum
Breakfast in the hotel, followed by departure to the panoramic viewpoint of the city, where we get an amazing view of the valley below and the famous Pípila statue. From there we head down to one of the city’s silver mines, no longer in use, but a great way to learn about the importance of silver mining in the city’s history. Time for lunch (not included in tour price), followed by a visit to the famous Mummy Museum, then free time in the historic centre of Guanajuato.

Day 3: Dolores Hidalgo and San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast in the hotel, followed by departure for Dolores Hidalgo (approx. 1 hour travel time), home of the famous Cry for Independence to explore the historic centre and learn about its history. From there we head to the beautiful San Miguel de Allende (approx. 1 hour). Check-in at the hotel, followed by lunch and a city tour on foot. Free time in the evening.

Day 4: San Miguel de Allende
Breakfast in the hotel followed by an optional extra tour with our guide or free time to enjoy San Miguel de Allende.
2.00 pm: Transfer to Guadalajara (approximately 4 hours travel time), free time for dinner.
Accommodation: Guadalajara.

Day 5: Guadalajara
Breakfast in the hotel followed by 9 am departure for a walking tour of the historic centre of Guadalajara (or free time), followed by transfer to Tlaquepaque for free time and lunch. Afternoon departure for return travel.
