Copper Canyon

Enjoy the spectacular Copper Canyon on one of the world’s most exciting train rides! After a flight to Los Mochis we travel to the colonial town of El Fuerte for our first night. Our journey along the famous Copper Canyon Railway begins the following morning, boarding the Chepe Express in El Fuerte and disembarking in the town of Bahuichivo for transfer to Cerocahui. From here we visit the Mirador Cerro del Gallego for breathtaking views of the Urique Canyon, the deepest part of the Copper Canyon system.

On day three we take in more stunning views as we travel from Bahuichivo to the famous Hotel Mirador, spending two nights on the edge of the canyon, where EVERY ROOM HAS VIEW! Activities here include walking to a traditional Tarahumara cave dwelling, spectacular viewpoints, and optional extras such as a cable car ride into the canyon, zip lining, or the famous Zip Rider (the world’s second longest zip line)!

The final part of this tour takes us via Creel to see the unique formations of the Valley of the Frogs and Mushrooms, and Lake Arareco, before continuing to the city of Chihuahua. We spend 2 nights in Chihuahua, including panoramic and walking tours of the city’s historical centre and a walk through the impressive cave system of the Grutas Nombre de Dios.
