Guanajuato & San Miguel de Allende

Join us to visit one of Mexico’s most scenically, historically and culturally rich cities, the breathtaking Guanajuato. On this trip we also take you to the home of the cry for Independence (Grito de la Independencia), Dolores Hidalgo and the incredibly popular San Miguel de Allende; all three of these cities lie within the state of Guanajuato.

In the 16th Century, Guanajuato was the richest city in Mexico due to its silver mines, which today serve as a great tourist attraction for the area. On our trip we visit one of these silver mines, as well as a tour of the city centre and its impressive architecture, the unique underground tunnel system, the mummy museum and much more!

In Dolores Hidalgo we learn about the history of the city and taste the unique and delicious ice creams! It was here that the priest, Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla, emitted the cry for Independence from the Spanish on the 16 September 1810. From here we head to the Magic town (Pueblo Mágico) of San Miguel de Allende, another delightful colonial city rich in history, culture and art; a must see for anyone interested in travelling in Mexico!
