Highlights of Jalisco

This tour takes you into the heart of Jalisco to see some of its most famous attractions, as well as some of its best kept secrets! The journey begins in the well known town of Tequila, whose name needs no explanation! Nestled deep in agave country, this Pueblo Mágico (Magic Town) will be our base for a tour around one of the most famous tequila distilleries, including some tasting of course!

Not far from Tequila, our next stop on this tour is the opal mining town of Magdalena, where you will be given the chance to find and keep your own opals, as well as a visit to a local workshop/store. Next we head to the amazing archaeological site of Guachimontones, a relatively recent discovery compared to other well known sites in Mexico (discovered in 1969), boasting unique round formations as part of its ceremonial centre, dating back as far as 400B.C.

Finally we head to the Pueblo Mágico of Mazamitla to enjoy the atmosphere of one of Jalisco’s most picturesque and traditional highland towns (MELAQUE DEPARTURES ONLY).
