Magical Christmas Tour
Join us on this Magical Christmas Tour, visiting some of the most beautiful Pueblos Mágicos (Magic Towns) in the states of Mexico, Morelos, and Puebla. If you love the Christmas spirit and Mexico’s traditions, then this tour is a must!
Enjoy the festive atmosphere in Mexico City, using the famous Gran Hotel as our base for exploring the city’s historic centre. From here we also take a day trip to the Magic Town of Metepec, famous for its elaborate ceramic artisan work, followed by a visit to the impressive stained glass window display and botanical gardens know as the Cosmovitral, in the city of Toluca.
From Mexico City we then head to the quaint Magic Town of Tepoztlán – the reputed birthplace of Quetzalcoatl (the Aztec feathered serpent God). Here, the cobbled streets and old churches, which sit in the shadow of the Tepozteco Pyramid in its privileged mountainside location, provide a relaxing and mystical feel that attracts visitors from Mexico City and surrounding areas every weekend.
The final section of this tour takes us to the beautiful Atlixco – home to the largest Christmas village in Latin America, and impressive botanical gardens with a stunning view of Popocatépetl Volcano; the indigenous town of Chignahuapan – famous for its production of glass Christmas ornaments; and, Zacatlán de las Manzanas – a charming Magic Town sitting on the hills that surround the Jilgueros canyon, the perfect place to relax and spoil yourself with a spa treatment in a beautiful boutique hotel.
